Food+Fashion = A Stylish Shopping Affair

Food+Fashion = A Stylish Shopping Affair

Your favorite places to shop (psst, that would be Fashion Island, Irvine Spectrum Center, The Market Place, Crystal Cove Shopping Center, etc.) are getting even better. And by better we mean delicious.

Late last fall brought a wave of amazing new restaurants to our retail centers. From Orange County’s newest culinary giants, FIG & OLIVE and Red O by Rick Bayless, to Lemonade and Lark Creek. (Might we add, nearly all of which never considered opening at shopping centers … that is, before Fashion Island entered the equation.) Now, CUCINA enoteca, which debuted at Irvine Spectrum Center and remains one of O.C.’s hottest restaurants, is also set to open at Fashion Island this summer.

If that weren’t enough, Irvine Spectrum Center will welcome several exciting new dining destinations as well, including: Umami Burger (which will be located inside the new location of Irvine Improv Comedy Club this spring); TLT Food from Daniel Shemtob, a winner of The Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race; LYFE Kitchen from acclaimed chef Art Smith (Oprah’s former chef and an alum of Top Chef Masters) and Tal Ronnen; Del Frisco’s Grille, which will serve modern spins on classic American comfort dishes; and BRIO Tuscan Grille, which will feature Northern Italian cuisine with made-to-order pastas.

Plenty of tasty options will soon await you at The Market Place when Pieology, everyone’s favorite fast-casual, customizable pizza joint, opens this spring — in addition to the popular Veggie Grill and Class 302 (two words: shaved ice!).

And speaking of pizza (because who doesn’t love pizza?), artisanal Neapolitan-style pizza will soon open at Crystal Cove Shopping Center by way of Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana. Also on deck: Babette’s, one of the East Hamptons’ most popular restaurants will bring its healthful, organic fare to O.C. with breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Stay tuned, we’ll keep you posted on all the delicious new arrivals!
