If you are in the mood for Mediterranean, head on over to Panini Cafe at Los Olivos Marketplace in Irvine.
The growing chain of modern European eateries, boasts one of the best chicken kabobs. An oval platter arrives with an almost foot-long skewer of perfectly charbroiled chicken and vegetables, along with your choice of a salad and basmati rice or bulgar wheat pilaf. The hunks of chicken are always incredibly juicy, succulent, and bursting with bright and zesty flavor.
Panini Café also offers more than a dozen panini sandwiches, one of our favorites being the Chicken Pesto – freshly grilled chicken breast, sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, fontina cheese and zesty basil pesto.
Add the hummus trio appetizer featuring black bean, edamame and traditional hummus with fluffy, warm whole wheat pita bread for a filling side.
