Feeling overwhelmed with the holidays approaching? Take your Turkey Day meal off your to-do list by enlisting the help of one of our restaurants. You’ll be a culinary hero with a delicious, low-fuss holiday celebration.
Head to Babette’s in Crystal Cove for a delicious Thanksgiving dinner, to-go. Known for its longstanding commitment to using locally sourced and globally inspired ingredients, Babette’s is adding holiday dinners to its popular take-away menu. Guests may order a Thanksgiving Dinner to take home, complete with Herb-Brined Organic Turkey, soup, salad, sides and choice of three fresh, seasonal pies, including a vegan option.Each dinner, capable of serving 6 guests, is $300 and must be ordered by calling (949) 715-9915 by Monday, November 23rd. All dinners may be picked up between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, November 26th.

And for those of us who want to head to a restaurant for Thanksgiving feasting, take off your oven mitts and let TAPS at The Market Place do the cooking. Enjoy buffet style dining at TAPS and treat yourself to everything from oysters on the half shell at the cold bar to herb roasted turkey, beef brisket and honey-baked ham at the carving station, along with all the traditional sides such as stuffing, buttered corn on the cob, housemade cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, roasted cauliflower, bacon roasted Brussels sprouts and more. Not to mention a pie station and dessert station with a chocolate fountain and various cakes and pastries. Cost: $43.99 for adults and children 3-10 are $14.99. Early reservation advised.
For Thanksgiving with an Italian-spin, there’s Canaletto Ristorante Veneto at Fashion Island. Select from a la carte items such as Zuppa Di Zucca, butternut squash and russet potato soup with sage topped with Grana Padano cheese croutons to risotto to entrees such as Tacchino Arrosto Tradizionale, also known as roasted turkey breast or Proscuitto Cotto All’ananas, baked hickory smoked ham with grilled fresh pineapple and honey mustard sauce. Or opt for the 4-course prix-fixe menu ($48 per adult, $18 for children 12 and under): start with Zuppa Di Zucca, then a salad of frisee, radicchio, endive and toasted walnuts with gorgonzola and champagne vinaigrette and then family-style roasted turkey breast with traditional bread stuffing, cranberry sauce and turkey gravy; served with mashed potatoes, baked yams and haricots verts. Finish on a sweet note with Torta Di Zucca Con Gelato, traditional pumpkin pie with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.
Wildfish Seafood Grille at The Bluffs Shopping Center in Newport Beach will also be open on Thanksgiving. Order from their regular menu of American seafood dishes like Crispy Salt and Pepper Shrimp and Steak & Lobster Tartare to Grilled Halibut Filet and Filet Mignon with Hudson Valley Foie Gras and Truffled Madeira Sauce.
Or go for their traditional Thanksgiving menu offerings such as sliced turkey, Baby French Green Beans with Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Brioche Stuffing, Glazed Acorn Squash, Pan Gravy with Mirepoix Brunoise Cranberry Sauce and Mashed Potatoes.
