California Pizza Kitchen revealed its newest “next chapter” concept at Alton Square in Irvine. It’s the brand’s first newly built from the ground up concept to debut and it couldn’t be a better fit for the community.
The new CPK features rustic wood throughout, with pops of lime and bright yellow and the menu features a mix of new dishes as well as classic favorites, including signature hand-tossed pizza favorites like the iconic Original BBQ Chicken Pizza, with new options in appetizers, salads, sides and seasonal dishes, like the Brussels + Bacon Flatbread. New main plates include a Fire-Grilled Ribeye with housemade pinot noir sea salt and topped with creamy bleu cheese butter, served with roasted fingerling potatoes and lemon-garlic wild arugula salad, as well as Hearth-Roasted Halibut (pictured above), wild caught from Alaska and roasted on a cedar plank with butternut squash, farro, grilled asparagus and baby kale. For those with specific dietary needs, CPK also has options that are under 650 calories, vegetarian or gluten-free.
We love the Chicken Piccata, a bright dish with pan-fried chicken and pasta in a lemon butter sauce with capers.
CPK Alton Square’s open space also offers a terrific bar for guests to enjoy hand-crafted cocktails like the California Roots with fresh avocado, Blueberry Ginger Smash, Strawberry Basil Martini and summer favorites like the Strawberry Mojito and Fresh Agave Lime Margarita. Also served are California premium wines like Buena Vista, Mark West, Sonoma-Cutrer and CPK’s custom blend by KOZ. Happy Hour specials are offered Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. until close.
