Paul Martin’s American Grill at Irvine Spectrum Center is an easy choice for those important power lunches – but you don’t need to have to be all business to enjoy the food here. The polished service (minus any attitude) along with classic American bistro fare that’s always consistently prepared makes it an obvious lunch option for anyone, really. For a hearty meal, don’t miss their popular French Dip sandwiches, with all-natural roast beef, horseradish cream, housemade au jus, all on a fresh-baked roll. Whatever you do, definitely start with the mesquite-grilled Castroville Artichokes (below) – the accompanying pesto aioli is deliciously addictive!

Check out the daily $12 lunch specials, like steak & bacon tacos to grilled polenta. Our go-to entree: the grilled trout, with wilted spinach and a blistered lemon. To finish, Paul Martin’s has one of the best banana cream pies in all of O.C.: airy layers of vanilla bean pastry cream, chocolate, bananas and fresh whipped cream.
