Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza, one of our favorite fast-casual pizzerias, opens its doors tomorrow at Fashion Island! The current reigning king of the build-your-own pizza chain has been rapidly expanding with new locations all over the U.S. since it opened its very first location in Irvine at University Center in 2012. We’re huge fans of the Red Vine pie, with ovalini mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, parmesan, basil, red sauce, olive oil drizzle: the crust is nearly razor-thin and crisp from first bite to last. Blaze Pizza’s assembly-line format allows guests to customize one of the menu’s signature pizzas or create their own, choosing from a wide selection of fresh, artisanal ingredients – all for under $8 a pie. The generously-sized 11-inch pizzas are then sent to a blazing hot open-flame oven – the centerpiece of the restaurant – where dedicated pizzasmiths ensure that the thin-crust pies are fast-fire’d and ready to eat in just 180 seconds. Each restaurant makes its own dough from scratch using a recipe developed by critically-acclaimed Executive Chef Bradford Kent (“The Pizza Whisperer”), which requires a 24-hour fermentation period to produce his signature light-as-air, crisp crust. For pizza fans with specific dietary needs, Blaze Pizza offers gluten-free dough and vegan cheese. The Fashion Island location will also feature a selection of wine and craft beer.

To celebrate the grand opening, Blaze will offer FREE pizzas on Wednesday, December 3^rdfrom 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. to anyone who follows Blaze Pizza on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook.
