Sushi is generally a leisurely experience, a quiet and thoughtful meal. Sometimes, we just don’t have time for that. Enter Blue C Sushi, the popular revolving sushi bar concept from Seattle that just opened at Fashion Island.

The main attraction of this brightly lit and modern restaurant is, of course, the cool and colorful conveyor belt that delivers all kinds of sushi goodies straight to your table. Best of all, the fish is sustainably-sourced and the state-of-the-art conveyor belt alerts the sushi chefs when an item has been on the belt too long, thus ensuring your sushi is fresh.

Blue C is perfect for the shopper-on-the-go and approachable for sushi novices. Must tries include fun signature offerings such as the BLT roll, with Tahitian albacore, bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado and bacon marmalade or the Ceviche roll, with Tahitian Albacore, yellowtail, cilantro, cucumber, jalapeño, Sriracha, red onion and ponzu. Or, if you prefer more traditional and straightforward nigiri offerings, enjoy Tahitian albacore, tuna or octopus.

When you’ve finished your meal, the color-coded plates get stacked up to calculate your bill. So easy! Best of all? While most sushi restaurants are closed from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Blue C is open all day for you to satisfy your raw fish craving.

The restaurant, which is located upstairs near Island Cinema, is open Sunday – Thursday from 11:00am to 9:00pm and Friday – Saturday from 11:00am to 10:00pm.
