STYLE WEEK OC 2014 Kicks Off Sept. 10

Style Week OC is almost here! Orange County’s biggest fashion fete — Style Week Orange County® — returns to Fashion Island, Irvine Spectrum Center and The Market Place Sept. 10 through Sept. 20 with fashion shows, in-store parties and fall trend presentations.
Don’t miss the crowd-pleasing runway design competitions at 7 p.m. Saturday Sept. 13 at Fashion Island and 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept.20 at Irvine Spectrum Center with celebrity designer and on-air fashion correspondent Nick Verreos. This year, first-time sponsor Celebrity Cruises has challenged the students from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) to create resort-wear looks that evoke “Modern Luxury” and designs that are inspired by the cruise line’s exotic destinations.

NEIMAN MARCUS RUNWAY SHOW
11:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 10
O.C.’s only Neiman Marcus, home to some of the fashion world’s top designers, including Tom Ford, Etro, Isabel Marant, Brunello Cucinelli, Stella McCartney, Jimmy Choo and more – invites you to catch an exclusive runway show for a sneak peek at its latest and greatest fall collections.
Main seating is reserved for Neiman Marcus guests, however additional seats will also be available on a first-come-first-served basis. Additional standing public viewing is also available.

FASHION ISLAND COLLECTION RUNWAY SHOW
7 p.m. Friday, September 12, with in-store shopping parties from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
View the season’s hottest looks from top Fashion Island boutiques and specialty stores including: Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, American Rag Cie, Ella Moss, Joie, Splendid, Trina Turk and Vince Camuto. The festivities start at 3 p.m. with in-store parties at the participating stores, then take your seat for the runway show starting at 7 p.m. in the Neiman Marcus-Bloomingdale’s Courtyard!
Admission is free. No RSVP necessary. Seating is on a first-come-first-served basis.

NEIMAN MARCUS CHILDREN’S RUNWAY SHOW
1 p.m., Saturday, September 13
O.C.’s only Neiman Marcus, home to some of the fashion world’s top designers, invites you to a playful children’s runway show featuring fun fall looks for the little ones!
Main seating is reserved for Neiman Marcus guests, however additional seats will also be available on a first-come-first-served basis. Additional standing public viewing is also available.

FASHION ISLAND’S EVENING OF GLAMOUR + CELEBRITY CRUISES DESIGN COMPETITION
7 p.m. Saturday, September 13, with in-store shopping parties from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday night features the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising’s (FIDM) gala benefit, “FABULOUS,” with a runway design competition where presenting sponsor Celebrity Cruises has challenged FIDM designers to create eveningwear that evokes “Modern Luxury.” Prior to the design competition, Fashion Island’s top boutiques and specialty retailers will present a runway collection of their best in cocktail and evening gown looks. The festivities start at 3 p.m. with in-store parties at participating stores and the runway shows start at 7 p.m. Tickets for seating and access to a FIDM pre-show reception are $110 and can be purchased at FIDMmuseumshop.org.
Seating is reserved for ticketed FIDM guests, however, complimentary public viewing is available, standing-room only. Located in the Neiman Marcus-Bloomingdale’s Courtyard.

STREET SCENE SHOW
7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 19
Don’t miss the latest in casual and denim trends along with other basic wardrobe essentials when Macy’s, Aeropostale, Active Ride Shop, Foreign Exchange, Hot Topic, Lucky Brand, Old Navy and Tilly’s present their top looks for fall.
SPECTRUM COLLECTION SHOW
7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, events start at 5 p.m.
View the season’s hottest looks from Irvine Spectrum Center’s top boutiques! The festivities start at 5 p.m. with in-store parties at participating stores. Then take your seat at 7 p.m. for the runway show at the Giant Wheel, where designer and TV fashion personality Nick Verreos returns to host the crowd-favorite runway design competition. This year, presenting sponsor Celebrity Cruises has challenged FIDM students to create resort-wear looks inspired by Celebrity Cruises’ exotic destinations.
Seating is on a first-come-first-served basis. No RSVP necessary, admission is free.

2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 20
Find in-store trend presentations at Charming Charlie, LOFT, Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse, Stein Mart, and White House | Black Market from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be a $1,000 shopping spree giveaway!
